You ask me for a dollar and I hand you fifty cents Kiss me on the cheek and you can have the rest I’m very sorry darling but my kisses aren’t so cheap And I only give my loving when the giving is for free I won’t be your fool again Oh no, oh no I won’t be your fool again You tell me that you love me and you claim you never lie But if you say “I love you” you should look me in the eye I’m very sleepy darling, it’s been a long, hard day I’d look you in the eye, but my eyelid’s in the way (Hmm..!) I won’t be your fool again Oh no, oh no I won’t be your fool again I wake up in the morning and the sun is shining bright You tell me that it’s raining but there’s not a cloud in sight I’m very sorry darling, could’ve sworn that it was true I always feel it’s raining when I’m not with with you (Oh, poor thing!) I won’t be your fool again Oh no, oh no I won’t be your fool again

Take a glass and fill it high Your tales are taller than the sky Grab a mug and fill it up My dear you’ve had enough! I was young and I was bold I never did as I was told And on a cold December morn I left the town where I was born Didn’t know where I was bound Now I’ve traveled half the world around Those things you only read in books Well, I was there, I had a look! Take a glass and fill it high Your tales are taller than the sky Grab a mug and fill it up My dear you’ve had enough! Well, I met a man from Babylon He taught me how to sing this song I sang it from a balcony A dozen girls called out to me The eleventh was the prettiest She came upstairs in a blue dress The clock struck twelve, she ran down again She left her shoe, but not her name Take a glass and fill it high Your tales are taller than the sky Grab a mug and fill it up My dear you’ve had enough! I plucked an apple from the tree A woman, she walked up to me I know that it’s hard to believe But she told me that her name was Eve I asked her, “Where is Paradise?” “Everywhere!” was her advice Then she asked me for a bite Well I gave her one, ‘cause I’m polite! Take a glass and fill it high Your tales are taller than the sky Grab a mug and fill it up My dear you’ve had enough! Well, I know a man who used to beg Now his goose lays golden eggs Scheherazade’s a friend of mine I tell her stories all the time Dear ladies and kind gentlemen This tale has nearly reached its end But if you’d like to hear some more Surely you know where to pour Take a glass and fill it high Your tales are taller than the sky Grab a mug and fill it up My dear you’ve had enough!

Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Inside my head Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Under my pillow The world is waking But I’m still dreaming The dawn is breaking This moment is fleeting Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Hold me closer Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Never release me I don’t wanna get up I don’t wanna leave you Can’t step out of bed now Even though I need to Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick, tock — how time goes by Tick, tock, tick, tock Five minutes more to bide our time Tick, tock, tick, tock These moments are yours and mine Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Why don’t we hide here? Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick No one will find us Under the white sheets We’ll giggle like children There’s no need to retreat From this fortress we’re building Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick, tock — how time goes by Tick, tock, tick, tock Five minutes more to bide our time Tick, tock, tick, tock These moments are yours and mine Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick, tock, tick, tock Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Inside my head Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick Under my pillow The world is waking My dreams are fading The dawn is breaking What will today bring? Won’t you bring my silver earrings to Texas? The ones I left with you way back when Yes, I’ll bring your silver earrings to Texas ‘Cause I don’t know when I’ll be seeing you again I up and moved to New York City I took a trip to Italy But I came to visit you in New York City I never came to see you in Italy Sometimes in the wintertime Sometimes in the summertime Sometimes in the springtime or the fall I get so lonely Sometimes you’re the only One to whom I want to place a call How about we take a trip down to Austin? New York City’s got me feeling down Well I’d love to take a trip down to Austin I’ve heard that it’s a helluva town But won’t you bring my silver earrings to Texas? The ones I left with you way back when Yes, I’ll bring your silver earrings to Texas ‘Cause I don’t know when I’ll be seeing you again
